Rapper/Actor Mos Def has just finished a multi episode deal to appear on the sixth season of Showtime's Dexter. He set to play and ex-con who claims to have found religion yet is surrounded by crime. Dexter, played by Michael C. Hall will investigate and undoubtedly reveal the truth behind who he really is.
Mos Def will join a handful of season six cameos including Colin Hanks, Jonny Lee Miller, Julia Styles, and Peter Weller.
For those who have been living under a rock for the last decade, Mos Def has been one of hip hop's few personalities to make a smooth transition into acting. He has appearing in The Woodsman, 16 Blocks, Cadillac Records, Brown Sugar, The Italian Job, Bamboozled, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and Monster's Ball to name a few.
Season six of Dexter will should turn out to continue the success of the Showtime hit, as the season five averaged roughly five millions viewers a week.
