David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez & Steroids?

I thought it would be as good a time now as ever to debate on the subject of baseball and the never ending subject of steroids. Especially with the recent announcement of David Ortiz being one of the players listed on the 2003 report. Which a lot of you who are not too familiar with baseball should was the beginning of MLB finally taking a stance and starting to test players for steroids.

There was to be no penalties since it still wasn't really illegal in MLB at the time and the names where supposed to remain anonymous as part of the deal. Under terms of the agreement the MLB Players Union and MLB owners, these test results where supposed to remain confidential.

But in the past few years many high-profile MLB baseball players have been named on the list such as Alex Rodriguez, Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, and the list goes on. The names have most likely been leaked by members of congress and reporters who had knowledge of the information.

So my question to everyone that I would like to know is what they think should be done about it? Do you think the remaining players names should be kept anonymous or should they just release the rest of the names? It was supposed to be kept anonymous and confidential between the MLB Players Union and MLB owners. Me personally I think they should just release the rest of the names so this said chapter in MLB could be done with and moved on from. Yes I know the test results where supposed to remain anonymous and confidential as I mentioned but I think it would be easier to move on if all the players where named and none of the fans had to keep worrying about whether one of there favorite players was one who tested positive or not.

Let me know your thoughts though and what you think should happen? Also do you think the players should get any type of punishment or not even though it wasn't illegal at the time to use steroids?
