"Shopping" entertainment projects (i.e., music, film, television, etc.) is the informal term of submitting projects to record/publishing companies or tv/film studios on behalf of creative talent. This was an active way of doing things in the 90's and early 00's but I believe that this activity is no longer very relevant given the shrinking industry, lack of interest in developing talent, and company's strict focus on the bottom line...my opinion of course.
